A Son's Pride: Goofy and Max

My contribution to Father's Day this year.  

Much like my Mother's Day piece this year, this drawing became very personal to me.  My family has loved Disney for as long as I can remember and my father's nickname in our family is Goofy.

 When I left home for college (like Max) I made my parents empty-nesters.  I have just recently completed my freshman year and it's been a bumpy ride for both me and my parents, I know.    

You know, my dad has always been there with a grin on his face and some joke on his tongue.  Humor has always been how he makes things better, even if it's not the best solution at the time.  I can't fault him for that, haha.  But this movie reminded me so much of me and him, because I would be lying if I said I wasn't embarrassed of my dad at least once in a while.  But he is a seriously cool dad.  And I will always be his daughter.  And I may even always be his little girl.  At least in his eyes. Which is perfectly okay to me.
